In the cellar

In addition to blogging about wines that we’ve been drinking, we’re also stocking up the cellar – maybe for drinking, or maybe simply to sell in order to fund more drinking!

Anyway, here are a few of the cellared wines, which are quietly lying down and waiting for their day:

    2008 Chateau Margaux, Margaux

Exciting to have my first case of 1st growth Bordeaux in the cellar. It’s there as an investment – but, when the time comes, I wonder if we’ll drink it instead……..?!

    2005 Chateau Lynch Bages, Pauillac

Probably not ready for drinking for another 5 years or more – and this is perhaps one of the fine wines that we will eventually sell on when the time comes. A timeless classic from a highly rated producer, this could be a real cracker! The 2005 vintage is one of the highest rated vintages of recent times, and we’re anticipating something really special from this wine in a few years time.
